Old Meets New
Easysee recently took on a fascinating and time-sensitive Augmented Reality (AR) project centered on cultural heritage. A Master’s student in ancient architecture from Jordan urgently needed a functional AR application for a critical presentation to their supervising professor. Rising to the challenge, we developed an educational app that beautifully bridges the gap between ancient history and modern immersive technology.
The application allows users to walk through a modern village while AR overlays reveal exactly what the historical sites used to look like. By scanning specific markers, users unlock interactive Points of Interest (POIs) that display old photographs, trigger historical audio fragments, and showcase fully animated 3D models of the original architecture. To ensure a seamless user experience, digital AR arrows act as a virtual tour guide, navigating the user from one POI to the next.
Despite the strict deadline, our team maintained close communication with the client and successfully delivered a highly engaging, educational AR tool that brought history back to life.
- Rapid Prototyping: Successfully developed and delivered a high-quality, functional AR application under a tight academic deadline.
