Domotics care home
We have been in contact with Aventus, a school in the Stedendriehoek region, for some time. With a choice of 230 courses, the school has approximately 10,500 students and participants, and employs around 1,000 staff members. The institution has 11 locations, primarily in Apeldoorn, Deventer, and Zutphen.
For the main location in Apeldoorn, we are developing a domotics care home in Virtual Reality. Domotics in healthcare is developing rapidly, and the school wants to innovate alongside it. Aventus aims to keep students up-to-date regarding this new knowledge. The virtual care home is a new form of teaching that the school is eager to offer its students.
The video below will clarify what you can expect from such a virtual care home. We can report that students are very enthusiastic about this new way of learning. Learning from books is gradually being replaced by tablets, but now we want to go a step further. An interactive learning method, which also isolates you from your surroundings, provides focus and the same information as a textbook. The difference is that this interactive method allows students to absorb information much more effectively. In Virtual Reality, an active attitude is required to complete a task successfully.
Furthermore, updates in Virtual Reality are quick and easy to implement and maintain. This is much easier to achieve than purchasing all the physical domotics equipment for healthcare.
