In 2018 we came in contact with a student, Jessica, from the Jan des Bouvrie academy. She does the interior design & styling, a college degree in Deventer. We came in contact and discussed the possibilities to present her final exam in VR.

Jessica’s project was heavily focussed on the experience of the people. She wanted the examiners to experience her design in Virtual Reality. To achieve this, she came to our office several times. She was able to prepare the virtual presentation entirely in SketchUp. We provided a few additions such as realistic lighting. These were added into her drawings and we provided technical support during her presentation.

In February her final presentation took place for all examiners and she passed with a “Good” due to her originality in the presentation. The examiners were allowed to put on the glasses both during and after the presentation.’
